I stop by Dave’s almost every time I go up hill.. Never never disappoints, spot on bbq every time. Stopped in on Sunday and as always were a little busy but definitely worth the wait. Brisket is my go to and a perfect choice every time. Although my friend had the Mac n chews and man I loved the taste she gave me. Mac n cheese bowl and brisket on top, oh ya omg it was so good. But I always like others choices haha. Oh and their close slaw is also always perfect, especially with the brisket Stop if you can you’ll be very pleased
My son’s wedding party went here after the wedding rehearsal and did not have reservations. They immediately set us up In a back room all to ourselves and took care of our every need. The service was outstanding, the food was absolutely delicious, and they were so gracious and accommodating!! Lots of fun was had by all. Don’t pass through Lyins without stopping in for a meal at Smokin’ Dave’s!! They are awesome!
We had rather low hopes for this place. It's a local chain that looks a bit too polished to really specialize in smoking good meat. But we were surprised. We ordered the Dave's Triple Platter for the two of us and we were not disappointed by the quality or quantity of food. Everything was great, but I think the brisket and the sausages were our favorites. We were super hungry after hiking all day without food - and this mound of meat did us in for the night.
Great place, we set in the back since we had a large party. It was cold in the back, people were talking about going to go get there jacket. Service was great, especially since we had a large party. Food came out pretty quick and the waitress kept our drinks full. The beans were amazing, fried okra was perfectly cooked, cornbread was delicious, the jalapeno cheddar sausage was delicious, the ribs were disappointing because they were almost all fat. The ribs were what I was waiting for due to all the rave about them. Others with our group said the food was good but some of the meats were really fatty. I would definitely go back but would try something different next time. If you like BQ, then you definitely need to try the place.
Best pulled pork and beef brisket ever. Slowly smoked to perfection in the big smoker in the back. Excellent choice of local brews as well. I had it with baked beans ..and it was delicious. The atmosphere makes this place even more special, see my attached pictures.
THE best barbecue I've ever had, hands down! We went to Lyons for a relaxing getaway and stopped in on a recommendation...so glad we did. My husband and I ordered the Not So Teeny Wahine and it did not disappoint. We had enough for lunch the next day and more. Everything was stellar from the brisket to the chicken to the Mac and Cheese and Hush puppies. You DEFINITELY need to try this place! Best of all, the prices are incredible. For two of us with drinks, our tab was under 65...for BBQ, that's fantastic! Put it on your list!
This place is great. The bison ribs were fire, the brisket was melt in the mouth, the chicken was perfectly smoked and the meatloaf was very flavorful. Service was great and the sides were bomb too? The cornbread was moist and sweet. The jalapeno hush puppies were crispy and fresh. The baked beans were sweet and smoky and the collard greens were seasoned perfect. Last the dessert was great! We went with amd shared the fudge brownie alamode and the bread pudding. Both were delicious! Can't wait to come back and try more!
We recently stopped here for lunch as we passed thru to Estes Park, where we went for a long weekend away. The service was great. Rihanna was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We each got the 3 meat platter and 2 sides with the intent of taking half of it with us to have as leftovers for dinner. We ended up with almost 3 meals each. The portions are very generous. The brisket was the best brisket I've ever had and my partner agrees. It was so juicy and tender. The mashed potatoes were very flavorful, the Mac & cheese was delicious and the sweet potato fries were the bomb! The apple cobbler was a meal in and of itself. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend this delicious food!
